Tried that already but i can see my name in the bcc field, i shouldn't see a name listed in that field not even mine.
I received a mail like that so i know that this is possible. Thanks.
As the author, you can always view whomever was entered in the BCC field. You can see the BCC field when a note is sent to you if the original author sent a copy of the mail with the BCC addresses to himself and then later forwarded that same copy. At the point when he or she puts that copy into edit mode, the information in the original headers, like BCC become part of richtext and loose their special identity.
Hi! im not the author, i was one of the recepient and when i got the mail i can only see my name listed inthe bcc field. The feature im looking for is when i received the mail i wouldn't see any names listed in the bcc field not even my name. do you know how to do this?
Thanks!
Just to clarify; It sounds like you once recieved a message and your name was in the BCC field. You'd now like to make sure that you can't see any names in the BCC field, and you want to know how to make that happen.
Is that correct?
The message you recieved with your name in the BCC field, was your name in any of the other fields (TO, CC)? Was that message an original or was it a reply or forward?
If you are using SMTP (thats most likely) then unless you take the convulated steps I mentioned in my earlier post, your names in the BCC field will not be displayed to anyone, including your BCC recipients.
