First off, I apologize if this question has been answered many times before. I was trying to do a search but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for.

We recently had a Call Pilot 100 (MICS 6.1) installed and would like to have the AA "dial 0" option ring to all phones.

Currently when an incoming call comes in, the AA picks up immediately, playes the greeting and offers the option of "dial 0 for further assistance". When the caller dials 0, only one extension rings. We would like to have all our extensions ring when a caller dials 0. This leads me to a few questions:

1. When a caller dials 0, only 1 extension rings, does this mean that this is the only extension programmed to receive "dial 0" calls?

2. To set up all the extensions to ring when a caller dials 0, would I have to add all the extensions in a CCR group or Hunt group?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

2 ways ...
1. create answer dn of the '0' phone on all teh phones

2. create a hunt gp (i think 30 max) with all extensions and in greeting table say hunt gp as attendant

have not tried 2 ...but option 1 works for sure

Thanks for the quick reply! Really appreciate it!

Would it be possible if you could walk me through suggestion 1.

Does this mean I would have to go directly to the "0 phone" and create answer dn to all phones?

How do I create an answer dn?

Sorry I just got inherited this phone system so everything is pretty new.

login ...
temrinals and sets
show
exten 333
show
show
next till you get to answer dn
show
key in 221(assuming that is ur 0)
chng to appr and ring

this has to be done for each # you need ...333, 334, 335 ....

remember that a key is required for the answer DN to indicate that it is a dial 0 call. This will default to the first key above your intercom key

Another way to do it is to use hunt group. set the operator dn to the hunt group dn. put all the phones you want ring in the hunt group. No extraa button required.

Thanks everybody! I did it the "create answer dn" way per senk1s' instructions and its working perfectly. Thanks everyone for your help!

Hi. How I set the operator dn to the hunt group dn? Operator DN=221 and Hunt group DN can't be change. (CICS 6.1) and in AA or CCR hunt group DN is not accepted.
