How to make QPC742E talk again?

I did a bad thing I think; I was looking at the floppy card and had the QPC742E disabled, but then unplugged the QPC742E card (when the LED's were lit, so it had power to it) and now it just says "00" and I can't get the floppy drives to respond at all.
Problem: how do I get the system to recognize the FDI card again when I can't just do a power cycle or INI(maybe?) because I also can't read the A: drive (which was my original problem)?
System is Meridian SL-1 running 1011 rel 15.46
Thanks,
gr

try and reseat the FDI card, may have to init though

Do the INI, it only takes about 20 to 30 Sec.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Just to sooth my paranoia please confirm that this ini does not require a floppy disk read, also this is the "press the black button" type of INI, right?
Thanks again,
gr

I did the INI, but I am still the same (no response from the floppy).
After the INI I got:
INI 000 0002 12 25 41 0005 834C 0003 0800 0070
XMI101 28
DSET000 DOWN LOAD 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 96
INI003 00AC

Then also;
IOD050 0
OVL005

FYI, the QPC742E is in the lower shelf, left side, in the #2CPU slot.

I did try DIST then ENLT again, and the disabled light on the FDI comes on and goes off, but the display remains at OO.
Any help or suggestions appreciated!

I guess it is replacement time then. Do I need to power down to replace it, or is there a way to kill power going to that card with the rest being alive?
