Dear sir

further please also advise us that we have one console which is being operated by nec ips 2000... how the operator has to intercept the phones when busy when there are urgent and emergency calls lands on console for them

thanks in advance

Ok

Taking the panic aspect out of this, what do you actually want to achieve? Do you want a group of phones to all ring when one 'EMERGENCY" number is called? Or one at a time?

How is the operator expected to know that emergency calls are requiring attention?

I'm sure we can help but we will need more information!

Mr.George

yes i need this for emergency purpose only... we want a group of phones to all ring when one emergency number is called.. please advise how to do that in mat works..

secondly we also need that how to intercept the call through the console when busy coz the operator at console can be informed to the executive that an important call is waiting for him

ok, the best way to do this in my opinion would be to create a virtual extension and assign that key to all the extensions in the group, including the operator. remember to make the button ring though!

to create the virtual extension use cmd 11,len,ext number.

now use cmd 9000,(button number) extension number virtual extension number

so for example if you were to use extension 500 as the virtual extension you would input the following command into moc.

11>000>500.

then to assign it to button 8 for example on extension 200 > 203 you would use these commands;

9000>200,08>500.
9000>201,08>500.
9000>202,08>500.
9000>203,08>500.

then you would need to tell that button to ring using command 9001 so;

9001>200,08>1.
9001>201,08>1.
9001>202,08>1.
9001>203,08>1.

you would also need to make sure you can dial 500 in the number plan, to add 5 as an extension number you would do the following;

200>5>803.

then you would point your ddi at extension 500, and you can either answer the call by pressing the flashing button or do a direct pickup key to answer it, as if you press the button to answer the call then next caller would get busy.

hope this helps!

However if you want analogues to be in the ring group it is much better to create a group referred to in the feature programming manual as "group call by pilot number dialling".

Unfortunately I can't point you to a copy of the manual as all IPS manuals seem to have been removed from the sites that used to host them.

If you need this feature then repost your question here....

and I will be able to PM you with an extract from the manual!
