Dear Anybody,

Is it possible in VFP to create an icon and make it as a choice to run a program instead of choosing it from the menu? Upon opening the VFP, those icon will appear on my screen (they will look like in the desktop the moment you open your pc.)

Thank you.

Sure, if you create the pictures using a graphics editor you will be able to place them on command buttons on a form.

Create a form and add command buttons WITH the Picture you created on the button instead of text. Then on the click event of each picture put the code necessary to run the program you want. Make sure this menu form is run whenever foxpro starts (through the config.fpw file) and it should work fine.

I used to do this years ago and it worked fine.

No, VFP does not create icon. Although you can extract icons for many resources (Exe, DLL etc.).

Are you talking about doing this in the development environment for yourself or doing this in an application?
