How to make Access 97 work with Rdb7 on Alpha

I have a new computer with win 98 an access 97 application
Alpha vms server and Rdb 7.The access aps should connect to the Rdb so I installed the Oracle Rdb driver but when I want
the access to connect to the Rdb I got an error msg:"db_pr W' faild".
Can anyone give me an answer what to do or what does it mean or any thinf ells on that proplem.

Have you tested your tns connection? how about your ODBC connection? Oracle client has an ODBC test utility.

I push the connect button in "The ODBC Rdb test utillty" and i got connection. snd I do'nt now anything about the Rdb, I'm system manager not programmer.

Can you tnsping your db? From your client's command prompt, type;

tnsping <your db name>

Test the ODBC by using the utility, supply the necessary log in info to the db that you are testing.
