hi, I have a user with extension 5469 and base id 8032. He is using an avaya 1608 H323 phone. I would like this extension to be on a new phone Avaya J159 (sip extesion) base id 8088 extension 4205. How can I do this in IPOffice 11? I thought I could just switcht the base id, but I don't think that would work if one is h323 and the other SIP. Thanks for your help.

Delete the H323 extension and rebuild as a SIP extension. Thats it.
The user programming isn't effected.

Do you mean delete that extension, and add extension 5469 (his current) to the base id of 8088?

The base ID is virtual, it isn't attached to the User config. i.e. you can create a phantom with no extension as all.
So, right click and delete the current number (H323), create a new extension as SIP with the same number 5469.

Hi thanks, I was able to fo this and the phoe is stuck on "acquiring service..." I have other sip phones J169 that work fine. Is there something I'm missing with this one?
Thanks again

Hi got it to work. The https server was not set on the phone. After I entered it it is working with the user's extension.
