AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

Access is enraging me!!! Everytime I get all my forms set to a nice size, Access either changes the size or maximize it or does some other darn thing to make it look like crap. Is there any way that I can tell Access to leave my darn form sizes alone?

Hi Simon,

Once I get past the language I note that: you've started 27 threads in the forums, and out of the 27 you've never voted a single answer as helpful. Gus Brunston :cool: An old PICKer, using Access2000

I was not aware of that feature but thank you for unmasking my ignorance :( Oh, and pardon my poor language.....

Although, come to think of it, you didn't happen to notice that I say thank you in most of my posts. Thanks for wasting your time.

Simon, a lot of programmers use the me.restore command when closing a form in order to restore the previous window size. I believe this is what you are looking for.

BTW, not to nitpick, but Gus does have a point about the stars. While it is definitely nice and appreciated when you say thank you, Tek-Tips rates us based on the number of stars we receive. (I think there are prizes involved, but I really don't need or want a Harley Davidson Jacket) So if you feel a post really was helpful give the poster a star.

On the other hand, I've seen people here who give stars to anyone who replies to the question, whether they've helped or not. Don't feel obligated if someone really couldn't help you. A simple thanks, but you didn't quite nail it is
good.

I'll get off my soapbox now. Hope I didn't offend you. :) Maq B-)

Another solution is to size it just the way you want it then go into design view and change the form properties.

Borderstyle to thin not sizable this way the user is not able to change the sizes on you it may also be an idea to change the following on the form properties.

popup = No
Autoresize = yes
Autocentre = yes
min max buttons = None
closebutton = "well this is up to you"

Hope this helps

Zero :)

Simon, glad I could help.

Zero :)
