Hi,

I'm attempting to install the Mozilla browser on my 44p with AIX 5.3. I downloaded the pre-reqs in the Mozilla readme file. When I go to install them with rpm, rpm errors out with a list of further dependencies. When I load those dependencies, more dependencies come up.

OK - what am i doing wrong? I just need a web browswer so I can install and use my documentation Library service.

Thanks
Cherokee

Khalidaaa,

I figured it out. The IBM download site has Pango-1.1.10 or something. However, you must use 1.2.5. I found the proper version of Pango on the direct IBM FTP site.

Ok, on to my next headache - trying to figure out which of the 8 AIX 5.3 CDs is the "documentation CDs.

peace,
Cherokee

Isn't there a Mozilla CD in your AIX53 software pack? That CD (and maybe the "AIX Toolbox for Linux Apps" CD?) *should* have all the necessary prereqs right there I'd presume...
