How To: Install Ex. Admin Util

Greetings Everyone,

I am working with the Veritas Tech support team and they want me to install the Exchange Administartor Utility on the Backup Server. Does anyone know how to install just the Admin Utility and not the whole Exchange Mail server program?

This is easier than it may seem. If you insert the CD (you can also install from a network source) and navigate through the install prompts, you will reach a screen with drop-down arrows next to the various install options. You'll want to deselect installing the server software itself and only install the exchange admin tools.

You should also apply whatever Exchange service packs you have applied to your Exchange server to your installation of the admin tools.
