I wish to add the ability to run Clipboard Viewer under Win 98. The procedure appears straightforward - go to add/remove programs, select system tools, check the clipboard viewer box, insert the Win98SE cd and click apply. However I get an error message that clipbrd.cnt and clipboard.exe can not be found on the Win98SE cd, and the installation fails.

Can anyone please tell me what I may be doing wrong and / or whence I might be able to download these two files.

Thanks in anticipation,

This post to report problem solved. For some reason when attempting to install the viewer from control panel / add-remove programs / Windows Set-up the system asked for the 98SE cd to be inserted but failed to locate upon it the 2 above listed files and the installation failed.

However today I re-tried, but by inserting the 98SE cd and selecting the add/remove software option from its initial menu. Then by selecting the clipboard viewer from the system tools list here the viewer installation went ahead with no problem at all.

Do not understand why the first installation method would not work, but the problem is solved.

click on add or remove programs
when the box comes up,
click on windows setup
click on system tools
inside system tools, you should find clipboard viewer.
