I added a new field to a table manually on my Test DB. Now I want to write a script and have it ready for Production DB implementation. The goal is to just run the script and will create the new field as well as other changes to the DB and it would be ready for the new VB code.
I want to insert a:
column name - alias
datatype - varchar
length - 50
Allow Nulls - True

A simple way of doing this is to use the "design table" option from the Enterprise Manager "action" menu. Make the changes that you want and then use the "save change script" feature to generate the script that needs to be executed. Then cancel out of the design table session and you will have a script that can be executed at your leisure.

thank you... doing it right now!
