Can someone provide step by step instructions on how to INI both the CS1000 and C1000E PBX? Both are on release 7.6.
Can anyone refer me to an NTP that explains the process?

Look in the maintenance input output guide at LD 135 you can sysload or INI active, inactive or both there. Also if you access PDT on the call server reboot is INI and reboot -1 is sysload

Thanks for you input.
I plan to change the OPD "out pulse digits setting" in the RDB.
According to the software IO guide, you have to INI the PBX before the change will take affect.
I'm assuming I would need to INI both.
Does the INI both command actually INI both at the same time or does it INI one and then the other?
I want to make this as least service affecting as possible.
What is the best approach?

You could get away with INI Active as it should come back up on the same processor. So change the setting, EDD the switch, then ini the active should be good.

Shouldn’t I INI both sides so that if the CPU switched it would still work?

Also can you INI the inactive side or do you have to make it active first?

If you want to you could ini the active so that your settings are in. Then ini the inactive for good measure after the sync.
