Jun 5, 2002 #4 Robertio Programmer Oct 9, 2000 87 GB You will have to copy any other datababse files as well, ie *.px, *.mb, *.x?, *.y? These are required for indexes, etc. We store all the database files in a data folder, that way it is just a matter of copying the one folder between machines. Upvote 0 Downvote

Jun 5, 2002 #5 svanels MIS Aug 18, 1999 1,393 SR Some other points, 1) Do you have paradox on the other PC? 2) Do you have the database dektop on the other PC? If none of these exists then you won't be able to open the tables, unless you use your delphi application. For your application to work you need to install the BDE (Borland DataBase Engine) If you don't want to install Delphi on this computer but only your application and the db files, do the following. Do partial installation of delphi and install only the BDE. After that copy your .exe file and tables. Create the alias needed and point to the location of the DB files.
