Help me, I'm trying to find out how to implement SNMP on Solaris 8. I don't know where to look. I feel like I look everywhere for documentation. Anyone know any place where I can look for good steps on setting this up on my network.

Thank you.

try ucd-snmp instead.

you can at least get net traffic, cpu load, and disk usage out of it easily.

I use MRTG + ucd-snmp.

So, MRTG is an NMS manager? I know now that you need an NMS manager and an SNMP agent. So what you're saying is that the SNMP agent is UCD-SNMP (NET-SNMP) and MRTG is the NMS Manager?

Thanks for your help.
