I am using a Definity G3 system with Audix. I have 4 lines. If one does not answer, it rolls to the next as so on. I would like for it to come in on the main number which is ext. 407, roll to 408,409,410 and 411 which it does through my coverage path. Finally I would like for the call to go to voice mail if not answered. The voice mail box should be that of 407.

When I set this up in my coverage path, my last entry is h1. But when I test the lines, it does not go to voice mail it jst constantly rings. Here is my coverage paths:

cov p 6 for ext 407 = 408, 409, 410, 411, h1
cov p 7 for ext 408 = 409, 410, 411, h1
cov p 8 for ext 409 = 410, 411, h1
cov p 9 for ext 410 = 411, h1
cov p 10 for ext 411 = h1

What am I doing wrong. Please help.

What if you sent it to a vdn that had a vector associated with it that said "messaging skill x for extension 407"

if you take out all those extensions and just use h1 what does it do?

What you are trying to do is not really a system design. Think about calls for you going to someone else's mailbox?

But this is not the first time this has came up and their are two ways to make it work like you want to.

1. VDN/Vectors but your system needs to have basic vectoring turned on.
2. Probably the best way is " change auto-attend-routing business-schedule 1 " set this up for the times of each day. (24 hours is fine)

then go into " change auto-attend-routing routing-table"

Set them up like this.

Code:
                         AUTO-ATTENDANT ROUTING TABLE
                         Routing Table Administration

Incoming Called Business Holiday Day Night Alternate
Number Schedule Schedule Service Service Service
                                              Mailbox Mailbox Mailbox
408 bus1 407 407

Duplicate for the rest of the numbers.

I guess I am trying to setup a call center. There are 4 phones. The calls come in on the main line ext. 407. If the 1st person does not answer it rolls to 408, then 409, then 410 and then 411 after which it should go into the main voice mail box of 407.

Maybe this is not the best way to setup the call center, but the calls if not answered must go into mailbock 407 to be checked later and clients called back.

Thanks

If this is a call center you may want these calls routed into a hunt group. Have these numbers you want as members. Then set up a hunt group voice mail box.

The same thing but really a better way for a call center operation.

Look in the feature description and Implementation manual for the best hunt group for your needs/ version of software you are running.
