I have an OID but I am not able to get its value 1.3.6.1.1.16.1

You mean you do not know what 1.3.6.1.1.16.1 is? Or when you walk the agent you get back this OID with no value?

Bill

I have found that OID 1.3.6.1.1.16.1 is related to RFC 4122 which will provide the UUID value of a system. But when I try to fetch its value I am getting error .
Link which mentions about the FRC 4122 :-
rfc-ref.org/RFC-TEXTS/4530/chapter2.html

Command :# snmpget -v 1 -c public <System IP Address> iso.3.6.1.1.16.1
Got an error :- Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::directory.16.1

I don't know how to find an OID or MIB which can give me the UUID of the system?

Thanks for your response , could I get some more help ?

Just because something has an OID doesn't mean it is part of SNMP.

That would be the case here.
