In the event viewer, there are different event IDs like :

Event Type: Error
Event Source: DhcpServer
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1051
Date: 5/29/2002
Time: 4:24:20 PM
User: N/A
Computer: TESTPC
Description:
The DHCP/BINL service has determined that it is not authorized to service clients on this network for the Windows domain: SWTESTING.
Data:
0000: 00 00 00 00 ....

where can i get more info on there type of event Id's

I am having the same error. I don't want to have a dhcp server on this domain, very small. Do I have to enable it anyway, just to get rid of the error? And if I do need to enable, how to do it. It doesn't come up as available in the console.

The service must be running, since the event source is "DhcpServer"! To uninstall it, go to the Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs. Select Add/Remove Windows Components. Then, look for Networking Services. If you only have a small network, it's likely you don't want anything in here, so uncheck the box and click OK. If you're not sure, click on Details, and you'll see the list of services that may be installed. Uncheck any one you don't want.
