Sometimes we have the need to forward someone's office extension to their home #. How can we do this easily/remotley without having to be at the physical phone?

We have a CS100M, phone is an 1140.

Thanks

Yes, I can dial the number from the physical phone.

Yes, "9" is the BARS AC1.

CFTA is set to NO in LD 21, what is that?

CFTA only applies to Forwarding to a true "Trunk Route Access Code"

So, if you wanted to Forward 4215 to New York Directory Assistance, you would go to another phone (other than 4215) and dial this, digit for digit.

*6*6 1111 4215 912125551212 # now hang up.

And that does not work? If not, there is a bug and probably a patch out there.

Yes, that's exaclty what I have been trying and it isn't working. I guess I'll have to open a ticket on this, painful as it is!

Thanks so much for your help on this.

It is probably worth checking this in LD 22

REQ PRT
TYPE PKG

And make sure each of these appears. It's what the book says:

• Optional Features (OPTF) package 1
• Flexible Feature Codes (FFC) package 139
• Controlled Class of Service (CCOS) package 81

Ok, so I found the problem, thought you might like to know.

The culprit was the STRG (string to indicate end-of-dialing) in LD 15. It was set to 1, and of course, every time I tried to forward I was dialing 91xxxxxxxxxx and once it saw the “1” it took that as a signal that I was finished entering and stopped there.

I changed it to # and it worked like a charm.

Thanks for all your efforts!!
