I have a user that would like to have unanswered calls to his desk forwarded to his cell phone after 3 rings.
We have a BCM 400. How can I do this?

Thanks!

Under capabilities, use CFNA (Call Forward No Answer) as 9xxx-xxxx, and change from 4 to 3 rings.

After 3 rings not possible unless internal internal**, only immediate.
Build a route, then forward set F4 to that dest code and cell #.

** if you had an unused set that does not take inbound calls then forward that set as above, then use sets/capabilities/fowardNoAnswer to that set.

If Allow Redirect is yes, you can certainly CFNA to an outside #, done it hundreds of times.

I'm using element manager 2.59.0 and I don't see cfna anywhere, I must be really tired today. Could someone please provide a detailed path to it? Thanks!

Yes once you turn on "Allow Redirect" for the set it will allow you to forward using your Desti Code.

The forwarding, though, has to be turned on by Feature 4. You are not able to CFNA to an external number. I have tried that in the past.

Ok some say works some no work.....if it did I wish I knew 10 years ago.

Going to our lab to try...perhaps newre versions only?.

So, I've tested it on my phone and it works.
Here is what I did, I simply added my cell phone number to the Fwd No Answer under sets-active sets-line access- properties and changed the Fwd Delay to 3. The format for the number was 9xxxxxxx.
As far as the rest of the phone configuration, I didn't have to change anything, but I did look at Sets-active sets-capabilities and preferences-capabilities. Allow redirect is not checked, but redirect ring is checked.
Hope this helps.
By the way, I didn't have to do anything with feature 4. This of course means that I'd never get a voicemail, but the cell phone does have voicemail and I'd see that before I'd see my desk voicemail, which is what the user is wanting, so it works great!

I'd say it started at around 3.6, but some wizard will know for sure.

Call Forward All (all BCM50s, 4.0 and 450) can be programmed either at the set itself (feature 4), element manager or in set system programming. Just make sure Allow Redirect is set to Y and you need routing programmed.

When you program it in Element Manager then press TAB to committ the data, it will verify the destination number as a valid route and then committ the data.

As far as the release, I believe Dewey is correct with 3.6.
