Hello,

I need to forward a fax line to an external number temporarily. I am new to this system and not sure how to do this. Any help is appreciated.

If this is a line off a VG224 or similar, in Call Manager, click Device / Gateway / the VG224 in question / select the port this line appears on.
Click on the line, scroll down to "forward all". Enter the full number in the space including outside access (ie 9) then enter the correct calling search space entry for off site calls. You may need to enter Device information directly below that. This should give off site forwarding.

pull up the device/directory number you are tring to forward.
in the directory number config (this is the extension of the device/line)
in the "call forward and call pickup settings"
in the "destination" field for "forward all" put in the number you want the fax machine/line/extension forwarded to, remember it must be how you would dial it from your phone...9XXXXXXX
You will need to make sure in the "callsearch space" that you have A CSS that will allow you to forward "off premises" usually it will say something like CFA-local_CSS

hope this helps [peace]
