How can I force an Active Directory update on my Small Business Server? Sometimes when I create new user accounts it takes up to half an hour for the Exchange mailbox to be generated. It seems that I need to initiate an AD update after I create a user account so that the mailbox is created automatically.

Thanks.

command line: gpupdate /force

run this on all DC machines to force update of Active directory and GP

Does gpupdate work to replicate AD? I thought it only did group policies on a client machine. What used to be the old "secedit /refreshpolicy" in windows 2000

To replicate AD I thought you had to do it through "Sites and Services" then open up your site\servers\servername\NTDS Setting then select the server > right click > replicate now.

Or for command prompt:
repadmin /syncall

Yes, that is correct. gpupdate applies group policy, and has nothing to do with AD replication. To force replication, you can use sites and services, repadmin or replmon.
