Hi,

I have a monitor I want to sell in my local paper, and I would like to find out what it's specs are.

How do I find out?

Thanks,
Maisie

Find name and model number of monitor, go to there manufacturers site and it should have it listed. If not email the manufacturer and they can tell you.

Hi electronicsfreak!

Is there not a way to get a general description by hooking up the monitor and clicking somewhere?

It's just that I think it's pretty old, and I think the manufacturer wouldn't be bothered to respond to questions on a monitor past so many years old

Thanks,
Maisie

Not entirely sure if its able to but there is a software that benchmarks products to give you an idea of what they are doing. Ill give you the link as it has a trial. You might be able to figure out the information from it. Fair warning though benchmarking products sometimes can cause them to fail if they are in bad shape. Anyways heres the link

By the way thanks for the star.

Although you've pretty much covered the answer to this question, here is an extremely handy app that we've used for years (updated version online here):

Aida32 is a pretty thorough system information, diagnostic and benchmarking program. Easily used and intepreted.

If it is a CRT monitor, take it to the dump for recycling. If it is an LCD monitor, it should be new enough to find on Google. Just type the name and model and Search.
