How to find a record in browse by pressing a key.

Dear Friends,

I have a databse file with thousands of records. I want to search the records by pressing the key. My question is.

How can I go to requiered alphabated records by prssing the key in the browse window ?

I would recommend you use a grid, since a you have no control over a browse window. Take a look at faq184-1214.

if you use form to do that try mike´s sugestion like i use in my forms a grid & a textbox in the interactiveEvent of the textbox use this:
textsearch=alltrim(this.value)
browse for "&textsearch"$FIELD
thisform.grid1.refresh
