Hello,
I would like to know how to figure-out how an external call to one of our DID's gets routed to an internal DN with a different extension? Where would I look for such a setup? Doug

do you have an IDC table setup//

It looks like I may. Below is the output. Doug

the left column shows what is being sent and the right column shows what that is being pointed too...

be very careful in the IDC table NEVER use OUT... if you do it will delete the whole table....

first i would print the table then copy & paste that to notebook... and save it..

then to out a number use X

for example if 1234 points to 5678

Ld 49
req chg
type idc
cust 0
dcno x
idgt 1234 c/r
1234 x

c/r till you get req again

this will remove 1234 & 5678

you could always change the incoming number to go to the attendant by changing the number to 0 for instance

I'm a little confused with the IDC tables. I have an extension (3324) in the IDC table that gets pointed to 3373, but external calls don't get re-directed to this extension.

ok where do they go... are there any forwards on 3373 for instance...
have you setup a trace on the incoming route...?

The IDC table needs to be applied to the route to work and never, ever, make a change on an active IDC table. It can cause data corruption. Build a new one they way you want it and then apply it to the route.
