How to exporting from crystal report to excel ?

Dear

I use export report function in crystal report 7,
to export from crystal to excel.

I got a problem such as
1. Every i click export report button sometimes
is work and sometimes is failed.

2. If it's work, result of exporting is different(
Format layout). example : in my report i have 3 column.
Column 2 is blank, so data in column 3 will be replace in column 2.

3. In my report i use some textbox object, when i
export to excel, value of textbox is blank.

4. Can i export from crystal to excel using ODBC ?

Anyone can help me ??

Make sure there are as few white spaces as possible on your report by suppressing sections. Try to re-export after that. Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports, Goldmine and MS Office

One of the things you need to do to make export to MS Excel easier is to anchor each field with vertical guidelines.

Or.....don't export to Excel but to a csv file. Crystal automatically places a comma between each field on export.
I have found it works beautifully. You then fire up the CSV file and all fields are nicely separated into their respective columns in an Excel spreadsheet.

I've try you idea, when i open the file (*.csv) where i export from crystal report, file is blank.

When I try to export from Crystal 8.5 to Excel. I get "Failed to export Report". Has anyone gotten this message? How do you fix it?

Hi, when I export a report into Excel there is something wrong in the file created. If you open it and create a new excel file that calls one of the exported cells then you get an error which says something like "impossible to find file.)

Can anyone help?
