I have a very long document and would like to exclude my footer from printout without removing it. I've been in page setup, print setup, all over google and yahoo still can not find.

Is this possible (Thanks)

I don't know of a more direct way of doing this, but the following is a workaround. Even though there are only a few quick steps, you might want to create a couple of macros--HideFooter and UnhideFooter.

[HideFooter]
Inside the Footer,
Ctrl-A (select all)
Format > Font
check Hidden
Close

[UnhideFooter]
When you want to "unhide" the Footer, you will first:
Tools > Options
View tab
check Hidden text
OK
Inside the Footer,
Ctrl-A (select all)
Format > Font
uncheck Hidden
Close
Tools > Options
View tab
uncheck Hidden text
OK

Gee... hope this is of benefit to you.

THanks for your reply. Thats an ok workaround. I figured there was an simple way of doing this. Thanks again.

I agree with dcompto. Use the macro recorder to make macros for this. Then you can just fire them off when you need to.

Maybe try setting the Footer border to zero for the print run.
