Have you tried to delete the extension? What happens?

slash50,

You can delete the extension located in lim5 but the syedp
in lim3 still remain. If you program the extension in lim3
on the bpos position in question ,the system response, Equipment Position Already Assigned.

Hi Rokane
I have seen this before and its bad news. You have a data mismatch in some program units. ie. some units (DCP etc) think the extension is assigned with number 6003 others think not (DEM etc) The only solution is to write directly into the data records to reset the data (SACOS etc). You need to contact your maintainer as the Program Listings are needed to do this for your release. This is very dangerous unless you know exectly what you are doing and you can do lots more damage getting wrong.

The other option is to re-INL the system and re-build it from scratch. This maybe lengthy but it will fix the problem for sure.

As far as I know this can be caused by KSEXC command being interupted either manually or by disturbances on the links.

Sorry can't be more help

level7,

Thanks for the info, but may be someone up there like patcher ,whosrdaddy & others can help me without re-inl the system. It is easy to do the re-inl but the customer my not agree , because of long service disruption. It is a 5 lim system.

Whosdaddy,

I hope you can assist me on this as I don't want to do a re-inl just to clear this problem.

Thanks in advance.
