How to erase Ansi Format Data

Using NB 3.4 and an old VMS Backup Tape i have following msg:
"Freezing Media Media ID A000013 it contains Ansi Format data and cannot be used for backup"

How can I erase/overwrite such date from NB?

You shuld be able to allow overwrite of specific data format by using the "Configure Netbackup" option.

Then "Read/Write Properties" on the master/media server.

I think that there is a "Media tab". Then you can select the format to overwrite.

To overwrite simply add the following to your bp.conf
ALLOW_MEDIA_OVERWRITE=ANSI

Then restart NetBackup.
