Example:
one of my developers has to schedule three 2-hour meeting with a client, before end of October.
What I would like to see in project:
Duration=6 hours
start=1-aug
finish= 31-Oct

I've been playing with resource units (%age) and task type (fixed duration) but I must have missed the proper combination because I did not manage to get a satisfactory output: either the duration would jump very high (600 hours) if I lowered resource units to 1%, or the start date would move to 31-Oct, or the finish date would move to 1-aug.

Is there a way to properly display what I want?

Thanks!

I'm afraid your values are not possible. You can have a task with 6 hours of work spread from August 1 to October 31 -- but not 6 hours in duration.

I would suggest you set the 3 - 2 hours meetings where you think they will occur. Then set deadlines of 31-October on the meetings.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Julie,

You're right, I was not careful about my terms.
