Am working on Projects 2000 and have merged some projects into one Master project plan.
However the durations types are different (some tasks show in Mins, some in weeks and some in hours).
I would like to change the view to reflect one Unit of Measure across the plan (be it either Mins, hrs or week)
'Tools->Options->Schedule->Duration is entered in' is set to Minutes.
Date format in the view tab is set to DD/MM/YY hh:mm (although I think this is not very useful).
Tried selecting all the tasks and do the above changes.Still not working. The duration column continues to show different types of duration(mins, hrs, etc)

Please help

Changing the "type" from "hours" to "days" (click on Tools | Options | Schedule-tab and look for "Duration is entered in") seems to be applicable on new tasks only.

Existing task duration information -- both the amount and, it seems, the units -- is carried at the task level.

Although the amount is exposed by the object model, the "units" is not. It appears that you'll have to change each existing task individually.

This somewhat surprises me since all durations, work, etc., are carried internally as minutes so there must be some way for Project to determine which calculation to use so that the display is correct.

Unfortunately, I'm really busy today and tomorrow so I won't have time to explore this in any detail to see if there's an easy workaround for you. For now ... I'm afriad it appears that you are stuck.

Maybe somebody else knows more about this.

Thanks for the initial response. Yes, I have been looking into the issue on similar lines, but do not have a clue yet... Manually changing the plan is possible but considering 1000+ lines in the plan, am looking for one time change. Will keep looking out...
