How to Enable Filter by Selection on Text Box

I have a text box in my form that does not allow me to Filter by Selection. The option seems to be voided out. Is there a way to enable it?

What is the text box bound to?

The control source is:

=DLookup("Complete", "PercentComplete", "TagID = " & [TagID])

The option seems to be voided out
Standard behaviour for control not bound to the underlaying Table/Query.
