Hi gentlmen,
Can I have your help with this issue. We have option 11c and one of our PRI is down. According to our carrier, they have fixed the probelm and they want me to reset the alarm counter. My question would be what is the procedure to reset the counter. I also see that DCH 5 is OPER but not showing EST. Loop 1 is showing DSBL. What are the steps to enable DCH 5 and loop 1.
Thank you so much

DCH commands are in LD 96.
Digital loop commands are in LD 60.

After a failure you may have to disable the DCH and the Loop.

Disable DCH first then the loop.
Enable the loop and the DCH should auto establish.

LD 96
DIS DCH 5
STAT DCH

LD 60
DISL 1
STAT 1
ENLL 1
STAT 1

LD 96
STAT DCH
ENL DCH 5 (if necessary)

Also, may have to enable and reload MSDL or TMDI.
LD 96
STAT MSDL or STAT TMDI
look up the enable and reload commands. Good practice.

To clear your counters, go to;
LD 60
.LCNT 1= List Counter 1
.RCNT 1= Reset Counter 1

That should clear the counters up.

here's another point that i used to miss, untill it burned me.. if you make a change on a d or add one.. you have to dis msdl x all then enl msdl x fdl to download the config to that card.. you can do a map dch to see what else your about to turn off.. good thing is if you disable a dch on a working loop with no backup d.. the calls will not drop, the d only does setup and tear down so calls in progress stay up, new calls are stopped on that loop..

Ace, if you use LCNT or RCNT without defining the loop, then you list all the counters, or reset all the counters. Either way works, but if you are having issues on multiple loops, then it is wise to clear them as you make changes to them. Not all at once.

Sometimes we find that re-flashing the firmware to the MDSL .ENL MSDL x FDL (Look at John Pools' post above) helps when the D-Channel won't establish. If you have an Opt 11 and are using the TMDI cards then disabling them may help (and we'll offer you some sympathy because many techs think they suck). TMDI cards seem to like to have the D-Channel enabled (it won't establish yet) before you enable the Loop. The D-Channel will print an error and will establish shortly after the T1 syncs if you are lucky. You can STAT MDSL and STAT TMDI to see which kind you have.

I had a loop disable yesterday and I tried to LD 60 DISL 6 and the err said I needed to disables the DCH first, so I go to LD 96 and DIS DCH 4 and it wouldn't disable, I tried for an hour to get it to work and then I removed the AUTO from the DCH's and then is let me DIS DCH 4. went to LD 60 DISL 6 and it disabled the loop, ENLL 6 and loop came up and DCH came up.
