Hi,

I've opened the quote template in Excel and made some changes that I required.

Now I can see that the extension for the default quote file is .xlt, and I save it with the same extention, however when I generate a quote in ACT, it still shows the original template layout.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks again in advance.

Nice one Mike.

So it does not recommend removing rows!

Which is what I wanted to do - typically my company quotes on only a single product so the rest of the rows are going wasted.

I did remove rows and ran the quote generator. Word fills out the rest of the space with more rows - would I make the adjustment in the word template to reduce the size of the Excel window?

Further - the website you pointed me to - is there an easy way to see other topics that they have help on?

Thanks Pal.

I have not tried removing rows... I guess you'd not only need to play with the template, but also with the vba macros and it could get messy.

Just got to pull down the "Support" menu and click on Knowledge Base
