We've got a number of Telecom staffers with laptops equipped with "Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP" (Connexant chipset) modems.

Those users cannot connect to various older systems (regardless of the Sportster at the switch end).

The other 'standard' laptop comes with an "Agere Systems AC'97 Modem" (Not a Connexant chipset) - Those users can connect to anything.

I have come up dry looking for int strings to allow the "Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP" to work universally - anything solved this already?

Was just wondering if anyone else has had problems with the new Black V.92 US Robotics Modems when connected to a TTY on the switch? Have tried numerous configuurations on them but am only able to get "###########" when dial in to them. Connect one of the older USR modems and it always work fine... Anybody know a good configuration?
