how to downgrade a nortel switch (baystack 450-24T)?
it is the same operation as upgrading?
thank's

..if its a single switch.. yes..

if its a part of a stack.. or you are downgrading a stack you need to break apart the stack and downgrade each switch individually... if you try do to them all at once.. it wont be pretty...

(trust me I've tried)

I've had problems when I didn't downgrade the system code first, then the diag code. Conversely when upgrading you have to do the diag first, then the system code.

I always check release notes when upgrading anything other than 450s because one of them (BPS 2k??) is different than the others.

450s dont have diag's they have boot's and agent's

always do the boot file first ...regardless of upgrading or downgrading

ftp://ftp-support.baynetworks.com/pub/swcode/baystack/ethernet/bs450/
is old code from 1.0.1 to 4.1

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
