How to do Relationship across databases in SQL7

I'd like to do relationships across databases in
MS SQL Server 7.0??

If you've linked the SQL Server tables, I believe they can be added to the Relationships window (choose Relationships>Show Table if they don't appear). You can then drag a field from one table to another to define a relationship. You can also do this in a query in Design View.

You can't set the Enforce Referential Integrity option for such relationships, however, because the tables are in separate databases. Referential Integrity is not available across databases. (Possibly, SQL Server itself can enforce referential integrity; ask your SQL Server administrator.) Rick Sprague
