We have an IPS that has the CO lines as direct line appearance on all phones. A few ring in day mode. I want to set others to ring in night mode. When I try to set 9002 to anything besides the default of 1, I get "Data Error". I also set 08>577 to 0. The manual states that 9002 is for Series 3700 R12.2.
On my system:
F85>ff03=D2
F85>ff04=0004
F85>ff05=02
I assume this is way below R12. Is there someway to set a number of phones for night ring in this system/software?

DIT the lines in the night mode to a virtual extension. Then place the virtual extension on a button on the phones that want access to answer them.
ex: extension 300 is a virtual and tk number 001 is to ring at night on it.
CMD 11>000>300 = virtual extension
CMD 3003>001>04 = night mode DIT
CMD 3005>001>300 = destination of night mode DIT

thanks for your replies on both posts. I have worked a many phone systems over the past 30+ years and this is the only one I can think of that does not have simple day and night ringing.

But it does have simple day and night ringing! you can set a day destination or a night one. However it is also much more flexible, there is also a mode 1 and a mode 2. you can also set TAS ringing or make it ring on the answer button of selected (or all) phones. So it can be as simple or as complex as you want!

I thank everyone for their response. The problem with using another button on the phone (using a virtual line) is that they really didn't want to give up any buttons. What I ended up doing is setting up TAS and assigning a TAS ringing port; connecting that port to a Viking device to generate tone on overhead paging. This was their original desire but they didn't want to spend the money for the Viking and an additional analog sta card (but we found an unused sta port). Your comment about making the lines ring on the answer button (in Nt mode)could be the solution but how would that be accomplished? Might be able to use this in the future since I work on about 60 of these.
