I've inherited a homegrown database and some of their reports rely on the joining of two tables: One by record Date (every day), the other by Period (First of Month).
All works well except that the records are doubled for the first of every month. All other days in the month are accurate. I've tried altering the joins, only to make it worse.
I am contemplating a final solution: Is there a way to take the sum of the first of the month and divide it by two,
without the other days of the month getting divided?
I am using Crystal 7. I'm somewhat new, but I can follow pretty well.

Ooops. Problem solved, thanks for writing.
Guess I didn't try ALL the types of joins.

Again, thanks all. I'd write more on the problem, but the table with the Period date column is so goofy.... [sig][/sig]
