How to display AsString to Unicode instead of question ????? marks

Hi,

I am using Delphi 7 with TNT labels accessing a SQLite database via TClientDataSet, the sqlite database contains Arabic and I need to display a field 'mylabel' on to a TNT Label. I used FieldAsString('mylabel').AsString which displays the text on the label as ?????? when it is Arabic (works fine with english text). Anybody know how to deal with this issue?

Instead of .AsString, try .AsWideString.
Also, you may need to change the code page your application is using (that is if you want to change it application wide),

or if you want to just handle on an individual basis, you may need to call WideCharToMultiByte()

Better go with a Delphi version that is unicode enabled (D2009+)
