How to Disable General Delivery MailBox 2

8X24 unit with Startalk B (4 port) DR5 software. I would like to disable the General delivery mail box completely if possible.

The configuration I want is as follows;
Operator --> Extention 44 (No phone at this extention)
Startalk port is 31

extentions 26,28,30 should ring until picked up when caller dials 1 from main menu

extentions 21,22 should ring indefinetely when caller dials 2 from CCR main menu

extentions 24,27 should ring if caller dials 3 from CCR main men.

The current CCR tree structure is as follows
main menu:

press 1 for "ocean"
dialing 1 transfers the call to ext 41(with no
phone connected) which causes
extentions 26,28 and 30 ring all at the same time as
they all have 41 as DN
press 2 for "Air"
dialing 2 transfers the call to ext 42 (no phone)
which causes extentions 21 and 22 ring
all at the same time as
they all have 41 as DN
press 3 for "Sales"
dialing 3 transfers the call to ext 43 (no phone)
which causes extentions 24 and 27 ring
all at the same time as
they all have 43 as DN
press 4 for "company directory"

With these settings when I test the system, as soon as I call the main number "general delivery mail box kicsk in"
and Caller is not presented with options but rather left with only one choice that is to leave a message in gdm.

Please help me on this issue

the following is from the installer guide. like I said it may be something worth trying I cannot guarantee it but there is a possibility.

On the Basic setting answer keys do not ring for:
• Prime set call capture
• call forwarded calls
• other answer key calls
• priority calls
• voice calls
• ringing service
• callbacks
On the Enhanced setting is the same as the Basic setting
except:
• answer keys will ring for overflow call routed calls
(special case of Prime set call capture)
• answer keys will not ring for line transferred calls
On Extended all call types will ring except priority calls and
voice calls.

Thank you for the input I will try.

Another point you told me that I could disable general delivery mail box by Logging F983 and pressing 6. When I press 6 the LCD screen shows something like "chans 0". I don't know what it means but I set that to maximum which is 8 but it did not disable the gdm and there was no other options there either..

I don't know, I dial feature 9 8 3 log on and at the admin: MBOX AA OTHR screen a 6 gives me general delivery:
a 5 there gives me the number of channels available for outdialing, (paging, outbound transfers etc.) could you try it from another phone? JerryReeve

Keep in mind that Amigo02 working with old Star Talk not flash or NAM,as far I remember you don't have that option like the new VM to press 6 and you can disable the General delivery.I don't think you can disable it at all,and also the system 824 DR5 I don't think it has the feature for enhanced answer.I believe it was only available in the new s/w CICS or Mics 4.0 or higher,but maybe I'm wrong ,I'm just going from my notes.I think the problem that phantom DN or answr DN ,somehow the system (VM0see that operator ext. as maint busy and route the call to the general delivery.I know the way it set up kind of confusing .I guess that my opinion. Press OK softkey

The Display will read: "reset password?"

Press YES softkey

Press RLS

Default VM Passwords are:
120000 (2 digit ext's) or
1020000 (3 digit ext's) or
10020000 (4 digit ext's)
