How to detect the speed of the network card in XP

Is it posible to detect the speed of a network card in VBS.

e.g., is the speed of the network card set to auto, 100BM/full, etc.

I tried to find it in the windows register, but I did not find something.

Is this anayway posible with VBS.

It is fairly complicated because each vendor has a different assignment of registry keys to speed identifiers. Here's a script I wrote in September 2009 that accomplishes your query for Broadcom, Intel, and MarvelYukon.

yeap Geates, it can be a right pain. you also throw into the mix companies like HP writing their own drivers to other vendors cards and its happy times for all.
i cant recall exactly but at one point i considered reading the contents of the driver files to determine what where the valid values and for the speeds, then you dont need to maintain a static list yourself, e.g. inf file contents
