how to deliver training

I am looking for an easy solution to deliver technology training to the end users. I have contemplating Sharepoint but I am not sure how easy would be to deliver. Training wise we are looking to text step-by-step procedures as well as a combination of video for more advance training needs and perhaps wink type training. I would like to hear your opinion on how these information can be made avilable.

There are a few options available.

Microsoft has free SharePoint training. Users can either download their own, or you can deploy to SP

Also, there is a great end user book out there called "The SharePoint Shepherd’s Guide for End Users". The book is awesome with great step by step instructions on many things within SP. They also have a few different corporate licesning models (including a full SP site built with the instruction, and PDF copies).

Not a whole lot of organized "training" but always good information without the "geekspeak

Greatly appreciate your info cmv131.
I have been playing with the sharepoint for a few months already. Altough for certain things I like it quite a bit. For events, sharing calendar, and news you need to deliver to users, it is great. However, if I need to modify the template, things get messy. I manage a large network and have no plans to start developing software. If it is relatively easy without the need to write code, I don't mind managing and creating the site.
