I have just imported a few databases into Access and there are extra characters at the end of each phone number like
"7153695054 |1|0| ""(-- ". I want to go thru each record and remove the " |1|0| ""(-- " from each phone number. Does anyone have some suggestions of how to do this besides deleting it record by record. Maybe a short macro or something would do the trick. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

if they are all ten digits as the beginning, use an update query, select the field in question and put:

Left([fieldname], 10)

in the updateto line....run it, your done.
