How to delete a message from the Exchange 2000 Store

I have a user who sent a 7 MB file to all in the company. I may be wrong, but I think Exchange does not duplicate the message to the number of reciepients but just sends a referance to the users.

In short I am trying to delete this big e-mail from the mailbox store itself since this message is freezing up many people's PCs.

Is there any way I can delete this message from the store itself.

get the user to recall the message. other than that you can't do it.

I already did the recall. It does not work great. Works sometimes. I don't know why?

Anyway I also went into the M: drive and gave a search for this mail on all mailboxes and manually deleted them. For now it seems to be working.

Yikes - rather you than me. Manually playing with emails via M can corrupt the database and do all sorts of things you really don't want. Stay away from that "drive".
