How to create an image backup of Nortel BCM 400

Hello,
I have a BCM 400 system - Can I boot with Norton Ghost or Acronis and make an image backup ?
So when the drive crashes, I can replace drive and restore image?

I did a backup using BRU 3.7 version. The default setting of backup selection is excluding Registry and 'European... "

Should I do a second backup with the Registry and European... option selected ?
