I am creating a point of sale database.
I am needing help with creating a sub-total from a sub form.

the sub total has to come from FRMTRANSACTIONDETAILSSUB i have managed to create a line total in this form BUT i need it to create a sub total of the relevant lines.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

What is a "relevant line"? Since it's a subform, all records would be the same(meaning their structure would be the same; i.e. qty, productid, price). Could you be a little more descriptive of exactly what you're looking?

Place a text box in the form footer. Its control source (which can be easily created with the builder feature) might look something like:
=Sum(([Quantity]*([Unit Price]-([Unit Price]*[Discount]))))
if you were after the sum of the line totals. Hope this helps! Gord
