Hello guys.
We have a toll free number pointed to a 4 digit ext.
How do I set this up as a Queue? All I need is to have callers who call the toll free have a "press 1 for GRoup A", "Press 2 for Group B" option. (I understand I need to record these prompts)
Would this be a VDN, or a Vector, or both? I'm just a little confused as to which one to use, or whether I should have a VDN that has the vectors included.

Thanks!!

you're 4 digit ext that the toll free points to should be your VDN, that VDN (Vector Directory Number) will point to your vector. All of your call handling will be done in the vector..

the vector can be as simple or complicated as you want,, I would reccomend going to avaya.com and going through the docs to get a handle on the vector options you have...

a simple vector might look like

1 wait time 2 sec hearing ringback
2 collect 1 digit after announcement XXXX for none (press 1 for gourp a, 2 for group b etc)
3 goto step 10 if digit = 1
4 goto step 15 if digit = 2
5 goto step 20 if digit = 3
6 stop
10 queue to skill 1 pri m
11 wait 60 secs hearing music
12 announcement XXXX (all agents busy)
13 goto step 11 if unconditionally
14 stop
15 queue to skill 2 pri m
etc...

Do you have your Groups A & B set up as skill groups? If so, you can set up the queue to skill step as Zen216 did above. If not, then you would do a route-to number xxxx (hunt group extension).

Also, each group has a different after hours treatment as well. Group 1 to an announcement, Group 2 to overflow number. Is this possible?
