How to count the records

I Have businessiD Ptype fields. I need to count fields in this format

BusinessID Ptype count

American Dryer 1
American Ac 1

Total business ID 2

How to do this ? Thanks in advance

Create a group on business ID
in your detail add your ptype
and your count field
then click on your count
and on the toolbar select insert and then subtotal
and place it in your group footer

I want to get 1 on count field for every record

select insert filed object -> specified -> record count

If you are expecting 1 on the count field for each record, why count? Why not instead, insert a summary field to count the records?
