How to convert a html file into a excel(.xls) file? This includes tables, and another object.

Thanx in advance. ;-)

Well if I am understanding you correctly alls that you have to do is open excel then choose file>>open then in the box change your file type to either *.* or html and excel will bring in the file. Then you can just save it as an excel file.

Open your HTML page with a browser then Copy and Paste into Excel is my favorite method. It usually preserves column/table structures. Eric

thanx in advance ;-)

Gti, can you use any scripting languages like PHP or ColdFusion?

call the object in the hyperlink (which builds the HTML table) objectname.xls.

If you're server is NT or Windows 2000 take a look at this thread.

It also provides a Knowledge Base link to automate Excel on the client side using VBScript client side script which does not require any ASP. (Good for IE only)
